The LEO Foundation, one of the world’s largest funders of skin research, is looking for a Senior Scientific Officer who will help develop and strengthen our growing philanthropic activities, and who would like to join us on our mission to pave the way for curing skin diseases.

With the overall aim of improving the lives of people living with skin diseases, we have high ambitions for our philanthropic grant activities and expect to double our funding to more than DKK 500 million a year by 2030. In support of this development, we now want to expand and complement the grant team with a Senior Scientific Officer.

To help ensure and support this development, we are looking for a candidate who is familiar with working within research and has personal research experience, including knowledge of Danish university and/or university hospital research culture and processes. In addition to this, the ideal candidate is a team player who can work and develop solutions independently. Lastly, the new Senior Scientific Officer has good interpersonal skills and can represent and uphold our values of integrity, dedication, and ambition.

Your key responsibilities will be focused on supporting and substantiating the LEO Foundation’s global position as a key provider of philanthropic support to skin and skin disease research. Some of the main tasks to ensure this are the development, management, and follow-up on grant instruments and initiatives, follow-up on scientific development in large clinical and epidemiological projects, scouting and recommending experts for reviews as well as participation in the development of the Foundation’s 2025+ grant strategy.

We recommend that you read the job description for more information about the position, the tasks and responsibilities and the expected background and qualifications.
