As a Scientific Manager, you will work closely with two Biotech team members focusing on sustainable agriculture, as well as with other Biotech colleagues and in project teams across the Foundation. Your main task will be to develop and manage a project portfolio that supports NNF’s strategy within sustainable agriculture. In addition, you will support day-to-day tasks in the Biotech team and across the Foundation as well as contribute to NNF´s open competition granting programmes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Leading and managing projects from ideation to implementation in interdisciplinary project teams, as well as participation in projects across the Foundation
  • Actively engaging with grant holders and following developments of existing projects, both in terms of scientific progress and administrative tasks (e.g., reporting, financing)
  • Preparing documents and presentations for the management and board meetings
  • Regular sparring with colleagues in the Biotech team on on-going and future projects, as well as with other departments in the Foundation and Novo Holdings
  • Participation in relevant events and conferences

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a colleague with a PhD degree within agricultural sciences or a closely related field. You have 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferably outside academia (e.g., from the public sector, start-ups, industry, organisations, consultancy) and solid project management experience. Alternatively, it will be considered a strength if you have experience from multiple academic environments and regular collaborations outside academia. Experience from international environments as well as with translation of research within agricultural sciences and technology from the lab to the field and beyond, will be considered an advantage. A systemic perspective on agri-food value chain is central for our work, and it will be a plus if you have a strong understanding of components and challenges of sustainable food production.

The official business language in the Foundation is English and many of our stakeholders are international. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite for this job.
